L’anime è ambientato nell’accademia femminile Flora, dove le idol, soprannominate anche streghe, vengono addestrate per utilizzare al meglio i loro poteri magici. Infatti, le apprendiste maghe possono usare incantesimi e melodie per attivare la magia. Tutte le ragazze dotate di poteri magici hanno il diritto di frequentare questa scuola, tuttavia, è al contempo presente una regola molto rigida che ogni anno determina l'espulsione di alcune studentesse. Tutte le ragazze, infatti, sono raggruppate in piccoli gruppi in cui il fallimento di un membro determina automaticamente il fallimento degli altri e, al termine dell'anno, tutte le studentesse che non hanno raggiunto un punteggio sufficiente sono costrette a lasciare l'istituto.
