Texas Chainsaw 3D della Lionsgate continua la storia leggendaria della famiglia omicida dei Sawyer, ripartendo da dove il classico horror del 1974 di Tobe Hooper aveva lasciato a Newt, in Texas, dove per decenni la gente è scomparsa senza lasciare traccia. La trama di questo prequel si incentra sulle origini del serial killer Leatherface e della sua famiglia di cannibali. Thomas Hewitt, il futuro Leatherface, nacque deforme da una povera donna che lo partorì durante un suo turno di lavoro in una macelleria del Texas, morendo di parto. Gettato in un cassonetto dal proprietario della macelleria, Thomas fu ritrovato da una mendicante a caccia di cibo in una pattumiera e da lei accudito e cresciuto, in un modo tanto disumano da renderlo la bestia che diventerà in futuro. Disgustato dal suo stesso aspetto, il giovane Hewitt iniziò a crearsi maschere con la pelle di animali trovati morti e fu assunto a lavorare nella stessa macelleria in cui lavorava sua madre. Quando però tale industria di carne chiuse, Thomas fu licenziato. Non accettando questo fatto, il ragazzo aspettò il proprietario nel suo studio e lo uccise a martellate; inoltre, trovata una motosega, il folle iniziò ad aggirarsi senza meta lungo la strada principale del paese.

Non è strano che le forze del Signore dei Demoni temano i Demoni Cremisi, il clan da cui provengono Megumin e Yunyun. Anche se i generali del Signore dei Demoni attaccano il loro villaggio, i Demoni Cremisi possono facilmente spazzarli via con la loro suprema padronanza della magia avanzata e potente. La storia della "home comedy nel mondo alternativo", ha come protagonista l'hikikomori e otaku di anime, manga e videogames, Kazuma Satou che un giorno, nel tentativo di salvare una ragazza, è vittima di un incidente stradale. Giunto nell'aldilà incontra una ragazza di nome Aqua che gli si presenta come la dea addetta a coloro che vi giungono dopo la morte. Oltre ad andare in paradiso o a reincarnarsi, la dea propone una soluzione alternativa a Kazuma: essere inviato in un mondo fantasy per sconfiggere il Re dei Demoni che in quella dimensione sta affliggendo la popolazione e minando l'equilibrio delle reincarnazioni. Dopo aver canzonato Kazuma per le circostanze della sua morte gli fa un ulteriore concessione: "Scegli una qualsiasi abilità o una qualsiasi cosa a tuo piacimento e potrai portarla con te per adempiere alla tua missione", ma Kazuma la spiazza dicendo "...Allora, scelgo te.".

Manji visits a priest in order to confess his sins, namely killing his lord and 100 of his retainers, an act that earned him the moniker "Killer of 100." The priest, who is actually a con artist, attempts to kill Manji by shooting him in the forehead, but Manji kills him and regenerates the wound. Manji returns to his home to find Yaobikuni, a nun who placed "sacred bloodworms" into Manji that make him immortal, and his sister Machi. That evening, Machi dreams of the time when Manji was forced to kill her husband, a police officer purusing Manji, causing her to lose her mind. After the dream, she wanders into the night and is captured by a group of ronin led by the brother of the priest Manji had killed. Manji pursues Machi but is unable to prevent her from being killed. In response, he kills every member of the ronin group, and upon returning to Yaobikuni, declares that he will seek redemption for the 100 men he killed by killing 1000 evil men. 1: Criminal
