Era Taisho, inizio del XX secolo, una ragazza deve salvare il buon nome del suo casato caduto in disgrazia così accetta di sposare un ricco uomo di cui non conosce né il nome né il volto. Appena prima del matrimonio combinato, suo fratello minore tenta di suicidarsi, dandosi fuoco mentre stringe un vecchio libro tra le mani. Il maggiordomo lo riesce a salvare, ma il ragazzo rimane gravemente ustionato e viene ricoverato in ospedale. La casa editrice Bunhousha ha istituito un dormitorio femminile all'interno del quale le mangaka possano vivere e condividere la loro passione con ragazze simili a loro. Il ragazzo inizierà un minimo a capire il suo comportamento quando il padre gli racconta che è stato licenziato perché voleva far rispettare le regole a Galveston dove faceva l'allenatore. I ragazzi, preoccupati che questo possa minare i rapporti dei loro genitori, tentano di fare qualcosa, ma la soluzione verrà trovata dopo che Sheldon si ricorda, grazie alla sua memoria eidetica, di quando, all'età di appena 23 mesi, la nonnina, mentre lo imboccava, gli diede tutta la ricetta; minacciando di rivelare la ricetta a tutti, Costance finalmente si riappacifica col genero, considerato da lei inadeguato per la figlia. Il Conte Dracula riesce a raggiungere Londra e prende dimora accanto alla proprietà del Dottor Seward, direttore del manicomio. Il vampiro attrae Lucy, pupilla del dottore per poi spostare le sue attenzioni su Mina, la pudibonda figlia del medico. Mina si trasforma in una scatenata danzatrice e nulla possono fare le strategie messe in atto dal Dottor Van Helsing. Poteva Mel Brooks dimenticarsi di Dracula dopo essersi occupato di Frankenstein? Sicuramente no anche perché il vampiro più importante della letteratura ci sarebbe rimasto male. Ecco allora che Brooks rivista il mito alla sua maniera e si fa affiancare dal sorriso accattivante (con canini incorporati) di Leslie Nielsen che abbandona le pallottole spuntate per seguirlo in un tourbillon di citazioni che non si ispirano solo al romanzo ma, come è ovvio, a tutto il cinema che ha visto Dracula come protagonista....
