Questo comportamento la porta ad essere espulsa dopo pochi giorni ed i genitori decidono di iscriverla alla Tomoe, una scuola situata in un vagone del treno con un approccio veramente particolare nell'insegnamento. Qui i ragazzi apprendono attraverso il gioco e toccheranno diversi aspetti della vita come il rispetto di se stessi e degli altri, il piacere dello studio, la musica, l'amicizia, l'autonomia, l'accettazione delle sconfitte oltre a scoprire anche cose come l'intolleranza e la perdita delle persone care.
