Joined by the keyboard talents of Didge Digital, by December that year they had secured a recording contract with CBS/Portrait and the band headed to Germany for a run of dates with Meat Loaf. Further tours with Tina Turner, Foreigner and Gary Moore built up the momentum. Racconta la storia di Elena (Francesca Neri) ed Ernesto (Vincenzo Amato), una coppia lacerata dalla tragica morte per incidente del figlio Carlo, che ritrova la voglia di vivere quando incontra Ian, un problematico ragazzo inglese che diventa per loro come un figlio adottivo. Tre anni dopo l'incidente Ernesto, tormentato fotografo, scopre di avere una malattia terminale e cerca di ricongiungersi con la ex moglie Elena, gallerista di successo. Ha solo un desiderio: esporre in un'ultima mostra le sue opere, prima che sia troppo tardi. All'oscuro del suo stato di salute Elena accetta e incontra così Ian, teppistello di periferia, pupillo di Ernesto e suo improbabile assistente. Col passare del tempo si crea nuovamente un equilibrio familiare ed Ernesto ed Elena capiscono che aiutare Ian ad uscire dalla sua vita difficile è l’unico modo per superare il loro immenso dolore. All'inaugurazione della mostra Ernesto non si presenta e sparisce. Elena intuisce che, per la prima volta dalla morte del figlio, Ernesto è tornato in Italia. Le Alpi italiane diventano l'unico luogo dove sentirsi a casa e il loro ritrovato legame cambia non soltanto le loro vite, ma anche quella di Ian.
