Sono dunque destinati a un nuovo confronto con lui 27 anni dopo e si passa così dal 1989 al 2016. I protagonisti sono cresciuti, ma quasi tutti loro hanno lasciato la cittadina e hanno dimenticato l'orrore in cui si erano imbattuti e persino molti dettagli della loro amicizia.
