Federico e Susy hanno tredici anni e il profumo della libertà tra i capelli, i muscoli pieni di adrenalina, sogni pieni di coraggio. Per loro la vita è una corsa folle in sella ai motorini, tra i vicoli stretti di Napoli. Vivaci e strafottenti, tra battaglie e umiliazioni reciproche, comandano due bande di ragazzi con l'intento di prendersi tutto. Sono figli dei boss più potenti della città, rivali tra loro. Così, anche per Federico e Susy il destino è già scritto: soltanto uno dei due vincerà e l'altro resterà a terra consapevole che chi perde è niente. A volte, però, succede qualcosa che non ti fa tornare indietro, che ti costringe ad accelerare fino a perdere il controllo. E improvvisamente la vita si trasforma in una corsa disperata che conduce alla vetta del vulcano, un luogo in cui è possibile ritrovarsi o perdersi per sempre. Ma anche un luogo in cui il potere della scelta è nelle tue mani.

Marcello Macchia è in profonda crisi creativa. Ha raggiunto il successo come Maccio Capatonda, e dopo aver firmato un contratto per scrivere una serie si ritrova alla viglia della consegna con niente da proporre. Disposto a tutto pur di ritrovare l'ispirazione che l'ha reso famoso, si rivolge ad un luminare della psicanalisi, Arnaldo Braggadocio, che lo sottopone ad una serie di prove per uscire dalla sua comfort zone e "appropriarsi del disagio", che secondo Braggadocio è alla base del suo blocco creativo. Il processo di demolizione della sua comfort zone, fatta anche di personaggi proposti al pubblico in passato, comporterà una terapia d'urto che lo costringerà a vivere ogni suo peggiore incubo. Ma varrà veramente la pena attraversare quel calvario per recuperare l'ispirazione perduta?

Il 20 Novembre 2012, Andrea Spezzacatena, un ragazzo che aveva appena compiuto 15 anni, si tolse la vita. Fu il primo caso in Italia di bullismo e cyberbullismo che portò al suicidio di un minorenne. L’incidente scatenante fu l’aver voluto indossare dei pantaloni rossi, regalo della madre, che a causa di un lavaggio sbagliato erano diventati rosa. Questo film è tratto dalla sua storia.
