Il protagonista è Vash The Stampede, super ricercato accompagnato da una tetra aura di distruzione: dopo il suo passaggio interi villaggi vengono rasi al suolo ma senza che possano essere riscontrate delle vittime. Le compagnie assicurative, costrette a pagare diversi milioni di doppi dollari per la ricostruzione, decidono di inviare due agenti alla ricerca di questa costante minaccia al portafoglio aziendale. Quando lo troveranno scopriranno che Vash è in realtà una persona gentile e generosa, ben diversa dal mostro che si aspettavano.

All'interno del gruppo emergono profonde fratture a causa del comportamento sempre più brutale e imprevedibile di Kamo Serizawa, uno dei comandanti, le cui azioni mettono a rischio l'equilibrio e la reputazione del Miburo. Durante le missioni di controllo della città, alcuni membri iniziano a mettere in discussione la leadership di Serizawa, osservando come la sua condotta trascini il gruppo in scontri incontrollati e comprometta i rapporti con le altre fazioni. La fiducia interna si logora, mentre il senso di dovere entra in conflitto con la paura di un collasso imminente. Per evitare che il Miburo venga distrutto dall’interno, viene presa una decisione estrema: eliminare Serizawa.

La storia di Carlobianchi (Sergio Romano) e Doriano (Pierpaolo Capovilla), due cinquantenni al verde con una filosofia di vita che ruota attorno all'ultimo bicchiere, e del loro incontro con Giulio (Filippo Scotti), un giovane e timido studente di architettura in crisi. Quello che sembra un incontro casuale si trasforma in un road movie disordinato attraverso le pianure del Veneto: tra sbronze, cattivi consigli e una sorprendente amicizia che rimescola le carte del destino di Giulio.
