Leone è il fidanzato perfetto: gentile, educato, rispettoso. I genitori di Carola lo adorano, convinti che lei abbia finalmente lasciato Manuel, il ragazzo poco raccomandabile con cui usciva. In realtà, Leone per Carola è solo una copertura mentre lei continua a frequentare Manuel. Ed è proprio a causa di questa situazione che Leone si ritrova costretto ai servizi sociali, dopo essere stato accusato ingiustamente di un crimine non commesso. Eppure, questa svolta inaspettata nasconde una scoperta meravigliosa: quella del primo amore, con Flor, un'attivista ambientale, forte e libera. Quando Leone sembra aver finalmente dimenticato Carola però, lei piomba di nuovo nella sua vita. Diviso tra l'amore vero e quello da sempre immaginato, Leone troverà la sua strada grazie anche ai consigli di Meda, un senzatetto che gli insegnerà la filosofia dell'amore, dei sentimenti e della vita al di là dei libri.
