Nella Toscana degli anni Cinquanta, Verena è un'infermiera che ha il compito di aiutare un giovane di nome Jakob, in silenzio da quando un anno prima gli è morta prematuramente la madre. Vivendo con il padre in un maniero, Jakob non solo si rifiuta di parlare ma sembra anche essere sotto l'incantesimo di una forza malefica che risiede tra le mura di pietra della residenza. Man mano che il suo rapporto con padre e figlio si intensifica, Verena sarà costretta ad affrontare quel fantasma che tanto fatica ad andarsene.

Il protagonista è un tale Takuma Sakamoto, giocatore assiduo del gioco di ruolo online (MMORPG) Cross Reveire in cui ha raggiunto un livello tale da essere definito "il Re Demone" da parte degli altri giocatori. A un certo punto viene trasportato, con le sembianze che ha nel gioco, in un altro mondo ove è stato evocato da due ragazze che vogliono diventare "Maestre evocatrici". Dopo l'evocazione, le due lanciano una magia di "ammaestramento" per fare di Takuma il loro famiglio ma lui ha conservato le abilità che aveva nel gioco e quindi gli si attiva l'auto-abilità automatica "Rifletti Magia". Sono quindi le due ragazze a diventare sue schiave. Takuma parte quindi con le sue nuove "aiutanti" alla conquista del nuovo mondo.
