In previsione delle Olimpiadi del 1956, un gruppo di volontari americani, di cui fa parte il giocatore ventenne DeLyle Condie, si assume il compito di aiutare la squadra di basket australiana a prepararsi per la sua prima partecipazione alla competizione internazionale. Con impegno e fede, il gruppo contribuirà a unire ulteriormente una nazione ancora segnata dai traumi della Seconda guerra mondiale.
