Ehi, avevi detto di volere una sorellina, giusto?". Lo studente al primo anno, Toujo Basara, se lo sente di colpo chiedere da suo padre e rimane allibito da questa affermazione. Come se non bastasse, il suo eccentrico genitore gli dice inoltre che presto si risposerà. Poco dopo il padre di Basara parte per un viaggio oltreoceano lasciando alle cure del giovane ragazzo due bellissime sorellastre. Basara però non sa che la vera identità di Mio è quella di nuova Regina dei Demoni, mentre Maria è una Succube. Così, per proteggerle, Basara decide di formare un contratto tra "padrone e servo" con Mio, ma per sbaglio, il contratto si inverte e Basara diventa il nuovo "padrone". Ciò lo porterà ad innumerevoli situazioni erotiche con la malcapitata Mio! La vita di Mio però è costantemente in pericolo poiché la ragazza è braccata sia dalle altre tribù demoniache che dagli eroi.

Un giorno viene ingaggiata per un weekend, le dicono che si tratta di un lavoro di promozione turistica in un remoto villaggio rurale... un posto da cui vorrebbe scappare al più presto, del resto ha lasciato alle spalle il suo paesino, per crearsi una nuova vita a Tokyo e non intende impantanarsi in un altro buco sperduto.... invece... Il contratto di assunzione presso l'ufficio del Turismo della cittadina di provincia riserva delle spiacevoli sorprese. Ma forse questo programma speciale per l'occupazione ispirato al "Micro-nation" degli anni della bolla speculativa giapponese non sarà la peggiore delle esperienze per Koharu.

Dopo aver ricomposto la sua vecchia squadra, Crunch organizza nel dettaglio il furto di un libro antico dall'inestimabile valore ma il successo del colpo porta a un altro piano, molto più rischioso, messo a punto da Nicky. La storia di quattro sconosciuti che, durante la notte di Capodanno, si incontrano in cima al grattacielo più alto di Londra con lo stesso intento, ovvero quello di saltare giù. Questa coincidenza è talmente grottesca da farli desistere temporaneamente e stringere un patto: nessuno dei quattro si suiciderà per almeno 6 settimane, ma la notte di San Valentino si ritroveranno sullo stesso grattacielo per fare il punto della situazione sulle loro vite. Una commedia sull’amore, sull’amicizia e sull’importanza di avere qualcuno con cui condividere qualsiasi cosa, anche il tetto di un grattacielo.

Noè, ultimo discendente della stirpe di Set, vede morire suo padre per mano dei discendenti di Caino. Diventato adulto una notte il Creatore gli parla in sogno annunciandogli la fine dell'umanità con un grande diluvio e instillando in lui lo stimolo a costruire un'arca in cui stipare tutti gli animali assieme alla moglie, i figli e le mogli dei figli. Aiutato dai giganti (antica stirpe che popola la Terra, originariamente scesa dal cielo per pietà verso gli uomini) costruisce l'arca e la difende dagli attacchi portati dal resto degli uomini quando è ormai chiaro che la fine è vicina. Tentato a sua volta da un eccesso di religiosità e adesione alla furia divina rischia di uccidere la propria discendenza e sconfigge la propria nemesi infiltratasi nell'arca fino a sopravvivere e ritrovare la Terra.

Julia percepisce improvvisamente che qualcosa di grave è accaduto alla sorella gemella Sara e, anche se non la vede da mesi, si precipita con il marito Isaac nella casa dove la sorella vive da sola: la trova impiccata. La polizia ritiene che si tratti di suicidio: Sara soffriva di una perdita progressiva della vista e l'ispettore incaricato delle indagini pensa che potesse essere depressa per quello. Julia nega: Sara sperava di guarire e aspettava solo un donatore per un'operazione risolutiva. Ma anche Sara soffre di perdita progressiva della vista, pur se a uno stadio meno avanzato della sorella. Nonostante tutto, Julia vuole scoprire quale mistero nasconda la morte della sorella e comincia a indagare tra le persone che la conoscevano. Tra queste, l'anziana Soledad, anche lei cieca, che la indirizza al misterioso Centro Baumann. Ma qualcuno sta seguendo Julia e forse è la stessa persona che ha provocato la morte di Sara, il suo misterioso fidanzato, l'uomo che nessuno ricorda.

Horror
Un professore universitario di fisica (Jared Harris) con metodi poco ortodossi e molto controversi raggruppa i suoi migliori studenti con l'obiettivo di condurre un esperimento mai tentato prima: sondare con la scienza il paranormale. Sulla base della teoria che l'attività paranormale è generata dall'energia negativa umana, in maniera fraudolenta si eseguono gli esperimenti su Jane (Olivia Cooke), spingendola ancor di più sul baratro. Quando si verificheranno terrificanti eventi con conseguenze raccapriccianti, si renderanno rapidamente conto di aver innescato una forza più terrificante di quella che avrebbero mai potuto immaginare.

Andy è in partenza per il college, sta svuotando la sua stanza e la madre lo obbliga a scegliere che fare dei vecchi giocattoli. Loro, i giocattoli, già conoscono il proprio destino, da anni Andy non gioca più come lo vediamo fare nella fenomenale sequenza d'apertura (un gioiello di racconto caotico infantile), volubili come sono però rimangono offesi dal trattamento riservatogli e quando un malinteso li fa finire nello scatolone destinato all'asilo di Sunnyside prendono l'evento di buon grado. Solo Woody, testardo, irriducibile e affezionato, continua a credere che il loro posto sia con il padrone. Gli altri lo capiranno quando scopriranno come in realtà Sunnyside sia una prigione dalla quale è impossibile evadere, gestita con pugno di ferro da una congrega di giocattoli feriti dall'abbandono dei propri padroni.

Il piano di salvataggio messo a punto dai governi si è rivelato un boomerang e ha avuto un terribile impatto sui sistemi economici.
