Lì, i due ricevono e mangiano un "frutto dell'abilità", ma mentre la ragazza ne sblocca una rara che la rende un'abile spadaccina e un'avventuriera di grado S, Light ne ottiene una adatta ad un contadino. Normalmente, mangiare un secondo frutto è considerato impossibile in quanto avvelenerebbe e infine causerebbe la morte di quella persona, ma Light presto scopre che l'abilità che ha sbloccato gli consente di mangiarne quanti ne vuole e di guadagnare ulteriori capacità oltre a quella iniziale.
