La casa editrice Bunhousha ha istituito un dormitorio femminile all'interno del quale le mangaka possano vivere e condividere la loro passione con ragazze simili a loro. Le giovani fumettiste Kaoruko Moeta (specializzata in 4-koma) e Koyume Koizuka (mangaka shoujo) appena trasferitesi nel dormitorio sotto consiglio dei propri editor, incontrano così le loro nuove compagne: Tsubasa Katsuki (disegnatrice di uno shounen) e Ruki Irokawa (autrice di un manga erotico). Fra scuola, lavoro e vicende quotidiane, le quattro ragazze si supporteranno a vicenda aiutandosi l'un l'altra nel migliorare come mangaka.
